The Killers - Battle born album analysis

This album cover is the 4th studio album from American band The Killers. This album was a comeback album after last releasing their 3rd album 4 years ago. This album has a very American link. It shows a car running into an oncoming horse; this could show freedom or that something bad is going to happen. The cover shows a lot of red; this could connote danger, love, blood, passion and the devil so it could mean that something bad is happening in this image. The genre of this band is Indie Rock this strongly links into the genre of Mumford and Sons being Indie Folk/Folk rock.

  1. The dark horse running doesn't represent death. It represents 'a dark horse running in a fantasy' which is mentioned in the first song of the album 'Flesh and Bone' as for the 'freedom' bit; quite a few of the songs are based on the American Revolution so that is what that is about.
